CLUB PROFILE

The Soccerino is a highly competitive youth soccer club established in Daveyton in a year 2000. The club played amateur football in various regional competitions from the inaugural year, Soccerino played Premier Soccer League (PSL) academies like Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, Jomo Cosmos, Platinum Stars, Bidvest Wits, Moroka Swallows, Benoni Premier United, Bloemfontein Celtic, Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United. In 2010 the team played the U/17 and U/20 South Africa’s national teams. The Soccerino is a registered member of the ELFA (Easterns Local Football Association) under the auspices of the South African Football Association (SAFA). In 2001 Soccerino formed the youth development system called The School of Soccer. The School of Soccer philosophy emphasized education through football and the footballers were expected to achieve high standards in education and football. The School of Soccer was a youth development academy for Soccerino.

Daveyton is one of the largest township with many population in South Africa. It has a reputation for breeding talented musicians, Radio Djs, actors and soccer players and is also known for its sharp dressing and elegant vibrant youth. Soccer is the most celebrated sports in the township. Some of the country’s most talented soccer players like Lawrence Siyangaphi (Quphe) Jomo Cosmos, Pollen Ndlanya (Kaizer Chiefs), Jabu Pule (Mahlangu) Kaizer Chiefs, Junior Khanye (Kaizer Chiefs), Michael Nkambule (Kaizer Chiefs), Thabiso Malatsi (Kaizer Chiefs), Nhlanhla Kubheka( Kaizer Chiefs), Humphrey Mlwane( Kaizer Chiefs), Martin Zwane( Kaizer Chiefs),  Bheki Zwane (Moroka Swallows, Lwazi Skhosana(Moroka Swallows), Thabo Mabaso (Amazulu), Ishmael Pheega ( Tembisa Classic), Clement Mazibuko (Mamelodi Sundowns) Terence Mabaso (Mamelodi Sundowns), Manqoba Ngwenya( Mamelodi Sundowns), Sibusiso Mxoyana (Orlando Pirates), Doctor Mampuru (Mamelodi Sundowns), Musa Nyatama (Bloemfontein Celtic), Katlego Mashego (Free State Stars) and Junior Sibande (University of Pretoria), Sibusiso Mahlangu (Supersport United) started their careers in Daveyton.

Soccerino is a soccer club whose aim is to uplift and enhance the overall development of soccer. Our mission is to provide players with the highest possible standards of professionalism in soccer and strive for excellence of the highest quality.

Sport offers the youth a healthy alternative to the conditions many live in. In this content we are promoting healthy living, social values and ethic, by givng them a global and a positive future to look forward to.
